NDIS participants 10-17 years seeking Life Skills or Individual Social Skills Development supports.
Service Description
We offer both Life Skills and Individual Social Skills Development Support for young people aged 10-17 years, which are billed separately to your core supports. Individual Social Skills Development Includes: Support in Individual Social Skills Development is tailored to empower it's NDIS participants with the necessary tools to improve their social interaction capabilities. Our youth mentor Erika will deliver one-on-one coaching and support that helps address specific social challenges, providing strategies for better communication, relationship building, and appropriate social behaviour. We can support you with: - Capacity building supports to build skills, independence, and support decision making, e.g. for education or transitioning to adulthood - Supports to help you in day-to-day life; such as social skills development to help you build relationships with family, friends and be apart of the community - Building life skills including confidence, resilience, and taking care of your health and wellbeing - Social and recreation support if you need help to join or attend social activities, sporting clubs or community groups Life Skills Development for participants over 16 years: Developing additional life skills allows your young person to live more independently and achieve their goals for a fulfilling life. This type of development may not be as simple as buying an assistive device, and may take time with mentoring, motivation, and encouragement to reach goals. But when once you have developed these life skills, you will have a toolset that enables you to face almost any obstacle, and have the strategies to move past it! We can help with: - Paperwork or learning to pay your bills - Maintaining a clean home - Meal planning and preparation - Social interaction with peers - Healthy behaviours and exercise - Setting priorities And much more! Participant Outcomes: Participants enjoy a more active and satisfying social life, gaining confidence in their social abilities. They build stronger relationships and engage more successfully in community activities. Improved social skills also leads to increased independence as they get older and helps support the potential for employment opportunities once they are adults. Erika has all current WWC Blue Cards and NDIS Screening Checks. She is specially trained in psychosocial and neurodivergence, therapeutic crisis intervention and trauma informed care to assist your young person with their support needs.








Cancellation Policy
To ensure the smooth running of our practice and to accommodate all our clients, we have a 48 hour cancellation policy in place. If you need to cancel a session, we kindly request that you provide us with a written notice through our "cancel booking" form on our website no less than 48 hours in advance. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in the session being charged at the full rate. Additionally, for bulk booked sessions or pre-paid bulk booked sessions that do not adhere to the cancellation policy, they will be considered as attended, and no refund or rebooking will be available for missed sessions. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we will do our best to accommodate any changes to your scheduled sessions, however this will be subject to the availability of your therapist. This cancellation policy applies to Workbook Sessions, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching Sessions and Counselling Sessions.
